MONDAY 5th JANUARY 2026
"STORY STYLE" NIGHT
If you wanted to see the STORY ARC training, head to the Worksheets So Far.
Next Session we are tackling Story Style - what is a style for stories, why it is important, how to select a style for your story, and how to use different styles for different audiences.
As a backdrop, we are continuing work on a pageant for Christmas 2026 (next year!).
We hope to see you there. We're glad you're here to be a part of our story.
Unleash your story
Welcome to Acts Of Faith, where we help you discover your voice, and share your stories through the power of drama and performative speaking. Based in Brisbane, we're dedicated to empowering locals to use storytelling and drama in worship. Join us and find your voice!
We believe that skits and drama have the ability to reach places in the heart that sermons and songs sometimes cannot.
Find out how you can support your local ministry team, and join us to have fun whilst you serve God.
We meet on the first Monday night of each month!
We start at 7 pm and finish by 9 pm.
Coffee and tea are available
Information
Acts Of Faith is an ecumenical Christian group, committed to helping you craft and deliver compelling stories for worship, for any generation.
We help volunteers write, speak, act, think on their feet, and, most importantly, share the story that must be told.
We offer support, a place to practice, occasional workshops, encouragement and feedback, training, and resources that can enhance your storytelling and dramatic performance skills.
Explore how we may help you make a meaningful impact. This is our calling, and maybe it's yours too.
Our services
We serve an amazing God, one who is not reliant on us to tell His story. Yet He loves our efforts. He blesses our authenticity, energy and passion. Serving God in this manner is an act of service, that helps us in our walk with Him, as much as it helps others to see our God in a new light.
Let me be clear—we are not professionals; we are just people who have made SO MANY (!) mistakes that we now like to think of ourselves as experts (smug grin). We provide a pretty simple range of services designed to help you excel in storytelling, and encourage you to provide drama (or dance) services for worship. The truth is, there are some really talented people in our circle, and they are happy to share what they have learned so you can move forward with confidence.
From beginner workshops to advanced training, from writing skits and plays to speaking out front, from creating dramatic thought-provokers to helping with stage set-up, from children's addresses or religious instruction to youth groups or multi-generational presentations, we can tailor our support and training to meet your needs and skill level, ensuring effective and practical development. And sometimes, it is just the sharing of ideas over coffee that makes it so worthwhile.
You will be challenged, scared, proud of yourself, and up all night worrying about it,
....and, loving it ... (Agent 86).
You will have lots of fun, and, of course, there will be a dash of coffee.
What's going on?
Once a month, we get together and do some warm-ups (e.g., theatre sports or speaking), then we can do either:
a) a specific workshop or
b) break into groups such as writing scripts or drama, or support, or
c) work on an upcoming project or
d) brainstorm for upcoming events
Remember, we're an opt-in group. You're in control of your participation. AOF is a supportive environment where you can come to learn, share what you've learned, or, if you're up for it, there may be opportunities to perform.

(This is not us, by the way. I don't know these people, at all. This is a group of randos who probably want to be like us. Maybe after we have been together for a while, we can afford our own digital image/group photo here).
